EXPLORA LODGES SOON TO REOPEN ACROSS CHILE AND PERU
Flexible T&Cs and private explora guides suited for solos,
couples, and groups
For nearly three decades, explora has practiced social distancing. But the travel company called it differently, guiding small groups, family units, and solo travelers to adventure and cultural discovery in the remote regions of South America with travelers keeping company with only themselves and locals. Often without a tourist in sight. Soon explora will reopen following a months-long pause and once again welcome adventurers to experience beauty and culture waiting off the beaten path at explora lodges across Chile, Peru and Argentina. With private guiding, multiple destinations to choose from, flexible terms & conditions, and new safety protocols to protect the health of travelers and staff alike, now is the time to plan your journey with explora. Private explora guiding is an especially safe option for travelers, where they can pick and choose explorations to enjoy on their own or with companions at each of four explora destinations. A Private Guide takes off right from the airport with guests welcomed by an explora driver for a private transfer to the explora hotel. Upon arrival, travelers coordinate select explorations with their designated guide for the duration of their stay. Groups traveling together of five to six travelers are assigned a private guide automatically without an additional charge. For smaller groups, the daily rate for a private guide for two travelers starts at $250 per day. Private guide rates vary depending on the explora destination.
With flexibility long prized by adventurous travelers and the coronavirus pandemic continuing to unfold, explora will reopen with flexible terms & conditions, including improvements to policies on booking payments, changes and cancellations:
The initial booking confirmation payment for stays at explora lodges has been reduced to only 10%, with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to check-in.
Bookings can be changed without penalties up to 7 days prior to check-in and canceled without penalties up to 30 days before check-in.
Travelers may secure travel insurance up to $180 per person to secure 100% flexibility for last-minute booking changes or cancellations. For more details on explora’s flexible “T&C’s,” visit here.
Every explora destination will operate under new safety protocols developed by the company to guard the health of travelers and staff – as well as remote populations of the regions it has been visiting for 27 years. explora is taking several steps to the surmount the challenges presented by COVID-19, including reducing capacity at its lodges by 50% in the first months to ensure effective sanitization and social distancing in all areas; limiting the number of travelers permitted in each transfer van, which will be sanitized and disinfected before each trip; and requiring social distancing in all facilities and adapting common areas to meet appropriate standards for safety. All rooms at explora lodges will be cleaned and sanitized, and travelers will be offered the choice of not having their rooms cleaned if they desire. Meticulous cleaning will also be carried out on all exploration equipment and vehicles after every use. For more details on explora’s special COVID-19-related safety procedures, visit here.
