The 16-guest camp near Moremi National Park offers front-row seats to the wildlife action of the oldest protected section of the Okavango Delta

African Bush Camps is excited to announce the opening of Khwai Lediba, a luxury tented safari camp located along the banks of the Khwai River in the Khwai Concession of Botswana. Accommodating 16 guests, the new camp features environmentally friendly luxury tented rooms equipped with modern furnishings and amenities. Khwai Lediba offers a variety of options to suit different preferences. It comprises 5 double rooms, 1 honeymoon suite, and 1 family suite. Each room and suite has en suite bathrooms equipped with both indoor and outdoor showers. The honeymoon and family units include a bathtub, adding an extra touch of luxury. Furthermore, each tent provides luxurious bedding, fans and a private deck with day beds.

The central camp building includes a pool, a dining area with an open kitchen, a large pizza oven, and a bar with a sunken lounge. Meals, cocktails, and bubbly will be served indoors or al fresco on a deck surrounded by sycamore and leadwood trees with stunning views across the river.

The newly opened camp embraces nature by effortlessly blending with its environment. Constructed with raw materials, including South African saligna wood, copper, rustic steel, and leather, emphasizing the camp’s organic allure. A calming sage green offers a gentle yet invigorating burst of color in the camp’s design pallet. Guests can relax on various decks and lounging areas, including a perfectly shaded and secluded pool and a fire pit on the lower deck.

Khwai Lediba is situated near Moremi National Park and offers guests a front-row seat to the wildlife action of the oldest protected section of the Okavango Delta, known for its diverse wildlife population, including lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and more. Activities include morning, afternoon, and night game drives, as well as walking and mokoro safaris (depending on water levels). The camp also offers the opportunity to visit the nearby Khwai village preschool as part of the African Bush Camps Foundation’s community empowerment projects.

All activities at Khwai Lediba, as well as at the company’s other 18 camps and lodges across Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, will be led by knowledgeable and passionate guides, embodying the ABC philosophy of fostering meaningful relationships through wildlife conservation, preservation of natural beauty, and cultural heritage. ABC strives for an inclusive safari culture, offering opportunities for locals to hold senior positions and catering to a diverse range of guests.
