Sharpen your photography skills of wildlife and wilderness amid the captivating island landscapes that inspired Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution with a Galapagos Photography Masterclass from Metropolitan Touring from September 3-11, 2024.
Traveling in exquisite comfort aboard the Yacht Isabela II, the Masterclass expedition cruise will provide unparalleled access to key sites throughout the wondrous archipelago located some 600 miles off the Pacific coast of Ecuador. Leading the hands-on photography class will be world-renowned nature photographer Lucas Bustamante, whose passion for promoting wildlife conservation is as sharp as his eye, as seen on the pages of National Geographic, Audubon, Smithsonian, and more, ensuring an unforgettable and highly educational experience for amateur and skilled photographers alike.
The Galapagos Photography Masterclass departs from Quito, the best-preserved, least-altered historic center in Latin America, and proceeds through the highlands of Ecuador before boarding Yacht Isabela II for a 7-day / 6-night expedition. Following the itinerary of its Natural Selection Journey, the yacht will visit the islands of Santa Cruz, San Cristobal, Española, Floreana, and Isabela, with abundant, photo-friendly opportunities for encounters with iconic wildlife, including 14 of the BIG15 of the Galápagos, amid diverse flora, fauna, and settings that can only be described as otherworldly.

Keep the adventure going with a Masterclass Extension offering a unique photography tour of mainland Ecuador through destinations including the Choco rainforest, Andes, and Old Quito. Guests of both expeditions will be accompanied throughout by an expert naturalist guide.
