Jacada Partners with Queer Destinations for Best Experiences for LGBTQ+
Travelers and Staff

Jacada Travel, the luxury travel specialist on a mission to create positive impact through uplifting journeys around the world, is pleased and proud to announce a new partnership with Queer Destinations, an international organization providing awareness and training programs to help create safe and inclusive spaces and experiences for the LGBTQ+ community. The partnership will see all Jacada staff undergo Queer Destinations-designed sensitivity training to boost awareness and enhance the company’s work with LGBTQ+ clientele to create safe and inclusive travel experiences.

The training program is comprehensive, digging deep into everything from the history of the LGBTQ community to real-life case studies with experiences to learn from. Upon completion of the training, Jacada will merit the Queer Destinations Committed Distinction, confirming an international standard of safety, quality, and excellence for LGBTQ+ travelers.

The foundation of this partnership is education – ensuring that the Jacada team is equipped with the knowledge, understanding and skills to foster an inclusive workplace and cater to the needs of LGBTQ+ travelers. The launch is timely: June is Pride Month, a time of celebration and commemoration, as well as superficial support of the LGBTQ community – aka, rainbow washing. Jacada intends to do more, believing that allyship necessitates action and that education is the most powerful tool for changing the world.

All Jacada staff will complete the training by April 2025.

“At Jacada, we believe that travel should be inclusive for everyone, regardless of their identity. Our partnership with Queer Destinations to provide LGBTQ+ sensitivity training is a significant step in our commitment to ensuring safety, inclusivity, and quality service for our travelers and employees,” said Natalie Lyall-Grant, Positive Impact Manager, noting the collaboration embodies Jacada’s dedication to creating positive impact from every angle. “This is paving the way for safer, more welcoming travel environments where everyone feels respected and valued.”

Edgar Weggelaar, CEO Queer Destinations, added: “The partnership is a vital step in promoting safety, support, and inclusivity for the LGBTQ+ community worldwide. Together, we are dedicated to comprehensive staff training to ensure every traveler is greeted with genuine hospitality and respect. We’re setting a new benchmark and a precedent for others to follow. This Pride Month, our partnership aims to make an impact, reinforcing our dedication to these values and driving positive change.”
