Convenient Private Air Charter Swiftly Connects Explora Patagonia National Park in Chile’s Aysén Region
Accessing the natural wonders of Patagonia National Park just got a lot easier – and faster – with the launch of a new private air charter service from Explora. The private flights offer swift access to the expedition company’s new Lodge, Explora Patagonia National Park, cutting transfer time from Balmaceda airport from six hours by land to just over one hour by air and van. The reward is extra time for deep exploration amid the natural beauty at the southern tip of the continent.
Among myriad offerings for travelers, including 32 crafted explorations through the wilderness and cuisine conceived by the team from “Don Julio,” the expedition travel company will offer the convenient 45-minute air transfer between Balmaceda and Cochrane airports in Chile this Fall, just in time for the Lodge’s reopening of three additional rooms, a new spa, and outdoor jacuzzis. Upon landing, a 25-minute trip by van from Cochrane airport places travelers at the steps of the Lodge.
Air Transport San Rafael (TSR) will provide the new air charter service and operate from 3 October 2022 to 17 April 2023, with departures and arrivals every Monday, Thursday, and Friday at predetermined times. Travelers can bring a soft suitcase weighing a maximum of 20 kilos (44 lbs) and a maximum of 5 kilos (11 lbs) in carry-on luggage. The price per person per flight (one way) starts at USD 990, based on a minimum of 2 travelers and four nights in Explora.
In keeping with all-inclusive programming at every Explora destination in South America, Explora Patagonia National Park includes roundtrip transfers from Balmaceda airport by van – a 6-hour drive – at no additional cost.
